Public Transport

How is the public transport in your country? Here in the Philippines, our trains are currently in the news because it seriously needs to be updated. Not only the coaches but the rails as well. I think it needs a complete overhaul however, I am not sure if people will be willing to be without these trains for at least 6 months. Unless the government has a back up plan?

yes, I do hope that the next president will do something about it and not only use it as one of the unending promises that will never happen.

Japanese trains and buses are the best! They are almost always on time and clean. But they are very crowded during rush hour. You feel like you are breathing other people's breath.

I have heard that from a friend who visited Japan a few years back. I commend the government for making sure that they do that for their working class :) If that's what you feel during the rush hour there, I can only imagine it to be more here in the Philippines. Passengers do their best to fit themselves in the train so that they can get home, no matter if they are all packed like sardines in a can!
