Day 12 – Complaint Job 10 How often do you complain about anything in your life? My guess is a lot. I don’t think we can go through a day without complaining about something. Job complained as well, only he turned his complaint on himself. He didn’t blame anyone else for the problems he faced. So often when we hear someone complaining, they are putting the blame on someone or something else, instead of where it belonged, on themselves. If you have been in customer service you hear it all the time. Your customer refuses to take the blame for the problem with the product when you know your customer is at fault, but you cannot prove it so you accept your customer isn’t at fault and give credit for the product. Job reminded God he was nothing more than clay, the work of his hands. Yet Job did not charge God with wrong doing, just that he would remember him and take care of him. We all want God to take care of us, and not forget us in the misery we are going through. As Christians we are told to examine our lives to see if there is any fault we need to confess. Yet how often do we overlook our faults and feel we are guiltless of any wrong doing? It is easy to point fingers at someone else and bring up their shortcomings, but we fail to look at our own. Jesus told us we are not to worry about the speck in someone else’s eyes, when we have a plank in our own. Matthew 7:3 And why behold thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. Job was taking care of the speck in his eye by not blaming God for the trouble he was in. It’s time we did the same. Stop blaming someone and something else for all your troubles. Look at yourself, and ask God to help you make it right, reminding him you are no more than dust, and he created you. When you take ownership of your problems, you will find your complaints will cease. Let’s pray: Father, help me take ownership of those things I am responsible for and not blame someone else for my trouble. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. when there are solutions it's easy not to complain,Also, a rant online is a complaint really. We may feel a loss of control, so we need others to offer support. Praying to God is great but the devil gets in the way all the time.

@just4him Yes I agree that when there are solutions it's easy not to complain.

I don't let the devil get in my way when I pray.

I used to think when people complain to each other it's a way they bond. For example when I used to commute to work, we all used to complain about the trains. It's a good conversation starter and it cements our relationship, in our common annoyance over something we have no control over. Can you imagine if someone then comes into the conversation and say, I love the trains.. We'd immediately treat the person with suspicion right? :) So ya often times people complain to bond, it's part of our social behaviour. But, I agree with you! Excessive complaining only results in negativity and only lead to real pain

I don't treat that kind of conversation as a true complaint. More of an opinion. It is like you said, when someone says something contrary to our opinions, then we are suspicious of them. But it's also a good moment to find out why they like trains. They might tell you something you already agree with and they could also agree with you about why you don't like trains.

If I feel my complaint is useful to others then okay i will complaint but usually I don't like to complaint to anyone even with the God,

I agree, there are times when a complaint used wisely, is useful.
