no homeland

when it comes to black Americans we really don't have a homeland to claim. when I say homeland I mean someway to trace our family lineage to a specific place. every other group in the states can pinpoint the exact country since we are a land of immigrants but not blacks. we can go to Africa in any random spot and say I'm from this continent somewhere.

Whoa, I saw a black woman on Genealogy Road Show a couple of nights ago having her roots traced. I was channel surfing so I didn't catch much more of the show, but I believe there is a way.

Are you a black American or white?

The explanation can be traced back to Americas "rich" history.
