She is four years old. Her aunts are younger. I already have a granddaughter. And i am just on my mid-30's. Actually, it is my sister's, so that makes me a "lola" or granny too. Lol. Her name is Elliria. When Elliria was told that the 3-year old she was playing with at first is her aunt, she was confused. Her playmate is my brother's daughter--her father's cousin. So, she is older and her aunt is younger. Now, with cutie Sophie who is just 8 months (today), she will be more.confused. haha She will get used to it. Hopefully. Lol.

my childhood playmates, whose about the same my age, are my nephews and nieces. i guess i know how it feels. my niece has a baby now and is a bit younger than my nephew. i still addressed myself as tita (aunt) instead of lola (grandma)..

Your nephew or niece must have gotten married real early to make you a grandaunt in your 30s. I think getting the family tree right is least of a concern for kids. I'd just let them address each other by their names.
