Nothing like a War Daydream to Start the Day!

I had a nice little daydream after waking up about a battle happening in one of the cities. Impressive technology was being used and I don't know who the enemies were, but it was possible they weren't human. Unfortunately it looked rather one-sided, but that was the point.
In one of the underground bases a force was working on organizing a retreat when the enemy sent a bomb down the shaft. Only one person had their guard up and survived. A matter of hours later he heard some noises and thought it was a hostile. Prepared to fight he dropped his shields, but it was just a girl. Apparently she was the lone survivor of her group as well. With no one else alive, they proceeded south, to where the enemy couldn't reach them.
And that's how their journey began.
Since I was enjoying the quips and interactions between them I think I will turn it into a romance story. Of course it is a war/survival thing, so it will be a different type of affection (like getting on each others' nerves).

love can bloom in the oddest of places, sounds like a good idea for a story for sure

It's just like me to daydream a story in one short period of time. Of course, I just set it up, the characters make it work.

@OneOfMany I wrote a children's in college based on a play. My zombie book this year was based on one too. I get seeds of some great ideas there too.

@Jessicalynnt People say I should turn some of my movie dreams into stories. Like the different zombie ones or like that cursed chemical one the other morning.

It's how my mind works. It was the catalyst for bringing two people together and that was the main point, and not so much the war itself.
