Pet Peeves, I Have a Few #7 / myLot

This particular pet peeve is probably most understood by those of us who ride the bus. It irks me when we stop to take a new rider on board. They know the bus is coming, yet they wait until they are at the fare box before they start digging for change. Meanwhile, the rest of us have transfers to make, a few of which I've missed due to these unprepared people. Seriously, as I said, you know the bus is coming. Please be ready. That's all I ask.

Same in supermarkets! Only after they've finished packing do they think about paying and then the great wallet starts

It is the same at the till in the staff cafeteria: rootle through a purse for the coins to.pay, then delay as the purse is zipped up... Some of us know the price, have the money ready and want to move on...

No matter what line I get into at the groc store there's a delay 99% of the time. Someone picked up an item that has no price sticker. Or there is a wad of coupons to be sorted. Or they forgot to get one item on their list and must send someone to get it for them. Argh. This really irks me, and I'm happy that the groc stores have chosen to display the tabloids by the checkout. The delay gives me a chance to catch up on all the latest Hollywood rumors.
