The World Moves without a Plot

I was just thinking about an old story of mine where I created a modified version of this world and wrote various interactions and fights between the new orders around the world. But in the end there was no resolution and the story itself had no plot, so I pretty much gave up on writing it. If there isn't a plot no one gets excited about it. This world is that story. There's no plot but what everyone chooses to make in their own lives. What's the overall plot besides conflict and daily chaotic movements? There isn't a plot. This world is entirely plot-less. Somehow that's a little depressing.
