How are you as a mother to your dogs?

As I have mentioned before, we have two Shih Tzus and they seem to be doing pretty well. I am usually the disciplinarian between me and my husband. I reprimand the dogs and also scold them when they have done something wrong (like tore up the edges of our ottoman table, our sofa, etc). My husband on the other hand, is their playmate. Since that is his role, they don't really listen to him when he scolds them. How about you?

i have askal dogs and they are both lovely and naughty in their own way. the male dog however is more playable with all of us than the female one.

yes, I think the male dogs are playful in nature. Our female dog is a bit reserved and would rather be on her own though she would at times come to us if she wants some petting.

I think you should scold your husband when he pampers the dogs. In this case, he dare not spoil them, else the dogs will create a mess of the house after you have gone out.

He does not pamper them but rather plays with them (like throw and fetch). The good thing about our dogs now is that they seem to understand now that it is not good to chew on stuff. They did that when they were still very young.
