When I think of Ronald Reagan, the first things came in to my mind is not he was a movie star but he was a good president. Why ? i think in terms of National defence, he really contributed a lot to USA. he established the star war like defence project to make USA became stronger in his day.he also influence the former Soviet Union president Gorbachev who end up dissolve the treat from the former Soviet Union and dissolve the whole Soviet Union into many different countries in a peaceful way and end the cold war between the The Soviet Union and USA in his decade. That's why I feel that he was quite a good president . How about you ?

There are those on the left who despise and hate Reagan. That's the way with any president. He did things I disapprove of like initiating the taxation of Social Security but over to me, he was a good president because he was tough against foreign enemies and it was the last I felt prosperity in my life.

I do agree with you that he is quite good in dealing with foreign matter but for internal issue, there maybe many different opinions arise . Well, it is hard to a find a president who will satisfy everybody anyway.

He is the one that makes the mess of the economy. It is his policy that turns the US from the greatest creditor nation to greatest debtor nation. With the kind of debt that US holds, it will take many generations to pay off the debt. His policies were good in short term, but he created a great mess for the future generation to clean up.

I don't think he was a good president, but I don't (didn't) dislike him personally.
