I am so excited. My daughter got a letter from Columbia University today. She is only a sophomore, but she has received solicitations from tons of schools, including Brown, Stanford, and now Columbia! It breaks my heart that she doesn't think she will get into an Ivy League school, because I know she can. I told her that these schools wouldn't waste time sending her mail if they didn't think she had a chance to get in. She has a 4.16 GPA, has taken multiple college courses, two AP classes, is in quite a few clubs, and does tons of community service. I couldn't be more proud of this girl! She is so driven. My oldest son was too scared to apply anywhere, even though he has straight A's and is very intelligent too. He's not nearly as driven, but they are both ridiculously smart. He is applying to the University of San Francisco and graduating in May. I really hope he gets in, because it took him ages to get motivated to even try. So proud of my kids!!
