Several of you wanted more information and I will direct some personal comments to you. I am pleased with those who responded. So many of you are interested in discussing spiritual things, but I understand that many of you are not interested, so I will leave it at that. The third thing for which Jesus said to pray, was for God’s will to be done on Earth as it is in heaven. What is God’s will? If we go all the way back to the Garden of Eden, God’s will was for Adam and Eve to fill the Earth with their children and to have in subjection the animals, and to spread the garden-like condition over the entire Earth. They failed to do that. Instead they brought SIN and DEATH to all of mankind. (Romans 5:12) But God’s will and purpose for this Earth has NOT changed. Isaiah 45:18 says: “He the true God, the Former of the Earth and the maker of it. He, the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited. I am Jehovah and there is no one else.” (Revelation 21:3, 4) Now, we are living in a world that is the RESULT of the sin of Adam and Eve and humans are suffering the consequences. But, Almighty God, has set a time to END this wickedness. (Psalms 37:9-11) Even the Devil knows he has a short period of time left. (Revelation 12:9-12) Jesus ransomed mankind from sin and death, but we have to prove faithful to receive the benefits of that ransom. I was so happy when I learned these things from the Bible. I had been told many conflicting things during my life, that didn’t make any sense to me. I didn’t know what to believe until I started to read and study the Bible for myself. The answers are all there, no matter what others may tell you. What did Jesus mention next in his prayer? He said that we should pray for our “daily bread.” So it is proper to pray for our material needs; food, shelter and clothing. Next, Jesus said to pray for forgiveness for our sins, and for us to forgive others. Next, he said to pray that we would not be led into temptation and that we would be delivered from the wicked one, who is Satan the Devil. Satan caused Adam and Eve to sin. Satan is the blame for the wicked conditions of this world. He is, in fact, the “ruler of this world.” John 12:31 Consider this: At Matthew 4:8-10 Satan showed Jesus “all the kingdoms of the world” and offered to give Jesus those kingdoms IF he fell down and worshipped Satan. Did Jesus say, “I already own all these kingdoms?” No, Jesus KNEW that Satan had been given control of the governments of the world, because Satan said at Luke 4:6 “I will give you this authority and the glory of them, because it has been DELIVERED TO ME, and to whomever I wish I give it. You therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.” But Jesus refused. This account proves several things. Satan could not have tempted Jesus if Jesus was GOD Almighty. That wouldn’t make any sense at all. Jesus is the only-begotten SON of God. And Jesus knew that his heavenly FATHER, Jehovah GOD, had given these kingdoms to Satan. That explains why we have wars, and terrorism and all sorts of evil things going on in all the countries of the world. But, WHY did God give Satan this power? The Bible contains this “sacred secret” which is now being revealed throughout the Earth.
