Yesterday my girlfriend and I watched the movie St. Vincent, starring Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy, and Naomi Watts. Basically, Murray plays a crusty old man who lives alone with his cat. He has a gambling problem and owes money to a loanshark. His only companion is a Russian prostitute (Watts.) When Maggie (McCarthy) moves in next door with her son (Jaeden Lieberher,) Vincent ends up babysitting, during which the two end up teaching each other life lessons. I've loved Bill Murray ever since he debuted on Saturday Night Live, and he didn't disappoint here. I also think this is the best movie starring Melissa McCarthy that I've seen, partly because she's not required to carry the entire film as she usually is. St. Vincent is quite funny, yet touching at the same time. It's one of the better movies I've seen lately, and I highly recommend it.

I've like Murray since I saw him Stripes. That was a long time ago!

I know, huh. I can still quote most of the movie, and I still try to watch it every once in awhile.

I honestly hadn't heard of it until my girlfriend grabbed the DVD.
