Identity Thief...Beware!

I had seen in the local news last night about some persons copying other people's identity and used them illegally. One man copied someone's profile photo on Facebook and put it on a company ID which the former used it to get inside a house and killed all who were there with a hammer.
Another incident of identity thief, a teacher was wondering why his salary that he withdrawn from the ATM was not the exact amount of his monthly salary. He went to the bank to verify what happened, only to find out that someone used his name, with complete valid identification, had successfully been able to apply for salary loan under his name.
OMG! It's not really safe now considering everyone can get easy access to our personal identity through social media. In our country alone, more than 100 cases of identity thief were being filed and recorded.
Authorities said we must be very careful in posting our personal data and everything about ourselves in all social media to avoid bad people of easily stealing our identity and use them in illegal manner.

I have a friend who just got scammed by a "congratulations, you won money" scam. She ends up giving her credit card number to that person. I thin k you know what happened next.

@CaptAlbertWhisker OMG! Why did she gave her credit card number? That's sad news. There are lots of scammers now. I even received such emails many times and end up asking money from me for the charges.

Yeah, I hope so but according to the police, they are having hard time catching such culprits. Thanks @just4him for dropping by in my post.

This is why I don't post any pictures on facebook most recently because of this. I remember some one back in 2010 who tried to bully me in our candidates fb page and reupload my photo and malice it. he got deleted but that made me realized that any photo they could repload it and use it for bad things.

Yeah, me too I am so careful now in posting anything in facebook. They can easily copied anything from us and used them for their own personal interest. Thanks @Letranknight2015
