My son and I ...just the two of us

Yesterday right after the girls woke up my niece left to go somewhere with her mother. My daughter got ready and at about 1:15 she went to her friends house for the day.
My son wanted to go swimming so we went to the YMCA. About 5 minutes after he got in he got out and wanted to leave. He said he was cold and didn't seem to be feeling well.
There was a Big Lots store nearby so I dropped in there to see what I could find. You never know what you will find there. A lot of time I find awesome coffee really low cost. This time I found yoohoo candy bars. Glenn's son drinks the drinks all the time but I have never seen the candy bars before. I bought one for each of my kids.
The controller that came with the used Playstation 3 we bought wouldn't work well so my son and I took a went to Walmart and bought two new generic ones that were about $16 each.
We had some time to kill before I had to pick up my daughter so we stopped at Chuck E Cheese so my son could play for awhile. He liked having this day out with just me and him.
On the way home we stopped at a cemetery to look for a geocache.My son decided to climb a tree and had me take a picture. When I did that I had to close out of the geocaching app and since there was no service there the app would not open back up to let me use the gps. At that point for absolutely no reason (as usual) my car alarm went off so we had to hurry back through the woods to my van to shut it off.
After my kids got to bed I had a glass of wine and Glenn and I watched a boring movie called Chef. I had been home for two hours and suddenly the car alarm went off again for absolutely no reason. It is driving me nuts.

We did have a good time. We have another day to ourselves today but it isn't really a day of fun. My son has a dentist appointment at 1. I am so tired I can't seem to get going this morning. I need to get him dressed and my makeup on at least. I am thinking if it doesn't rain maybe he and I can find a geocache while we are in the town there for his dentist. I have never done any in that area.

Glad you had a nice day out with your son and i'm sure he enjoyed it. Weird your car alarm keeps going off though hope you can get that fixed soon.

It really wasn't to bad. If my daughter hadn't gone to her friends house we would have just stayed home. Since I had to meet her friends mother half way I just decided to go a little further and go to Walmart before coming back through on the way home to pick her up. My son and I just puttered around until it was time. That is how we wound up at Chuck E Cheese.
