I decided to take everyone to Indonesia for free. How exactly am I going to take everyone for Free? Simple, I am going to bring it to you and all you have to do is come here. Indonesia is located in SouthEast Asia. It is a bunch of islands near the equator. It is has tropical weather and is fairly humid. The population is roughly 250 million. The capital has about 14 million people and it is called Jakarta. Indonesia is a very culturally diverse country. They have a wide variety of languages. The main language is Austronesian but of course that depends on where in the country you are. You might hear someone in one area speak Austronesian and then go elsewhere and hear them speak Sudanese. So don't forget to pack your google translator. So let me tell you a little bit more about their country. They won their independence from the Netherlands, the Dutch people in August 17. They have a Red and White Flag and their Emblem is called Garuda Pancasila. The gold bird which looks like a bald eagle has a shield on its chest and a ribbon held by its claws. The saying on the ribbon basically translates into "Unity In Diversity". The interesting part of their emblem however is what is on the shield. The shield has many symbolic icons on it. The shield represents defense of the country. The Black line going across represents the equator The star has five points representing their 5 principles. The 17 grains of rice and 5 cotton buds is a representation of their livelihood and food. The tree is to show roots and unity of the country's people. The bull is to show that democracy. The chain has 17 links and 8 square 9 round men are square and woman are the round. !7 of course being the number of the day they won their independence. Things to visit and see the Monas which is short for Monumen Nasional. They are open to the public and they serve as a memorial of the fight for independence. The food not that I have tried it is Asian inspired for the most part. Rice is the staple in the diet of rich and poor the same. Rice is abundant. They usually have variety of ways to cook because of all the different influences. The one large downside I found was that they have many volcanoes and more than half of them are active. Which leaves me thinking about the disastrous outcome if you are vacationing there and one happens to wipe out the place you are visiting. Not for noting but I don't want to die on a vacation. However I hope you all enjoyed our brief trip to another place without having to leave the comfort of your seat and home. The best part as I mentioned was that it was all free. I don't know about you but I want to visit a few more places now.

'Travelling with another's feet' is a great way if you can't get somewhere yourself. Have you actually visited Indonesia yourself?
