Do people still believe in God? Should God be a priority over our worldly priorities? I want to hear what you have to say...

Curious about your use of 'priority' here, and what you actually mean. There are a few schools of thought, one of them being that He doesn't exist. Then, there is one that says to put God first. Then, there is the old saw that 'God helps those that help themselves', which doesn't necessarily put God first. I don't believe in clubbing people over the head with God. I wouldn't say I make Him a 'priority'. I more or less believe He is around, and watching, and probably shaking His head at the antics of some of His believers. Perhaps even at me.

Thank you @JolietJake I respect your opinion, my friend :) What I meant about "priority" here is that would we put Him first over our wants and needs in this world? for example, here in my country, we have churches near and sometimes inside our malls and I believe that the reason why they put churches in our malls is that to remind the people that before they actually do other "worldly things" they should go to church first or something like that. :)

Many people 'believe in God' (which is not quite the same as 'believing that there is a God'). Living our lives with respect and care for those around us should be our priority. A belief in God is not necessary for that, though it may be that a cognisance of God can guide and help us to do so.

Yes, God does exist. On the other hand, I have found that religions do not really understand God. Since religions are inventions of mankind, they have too much mankind in them. People have shaped their view of God to what they want rather than what is. What does God want you to do? Be Who You Must! It's a Part of the Plan!

Depends in which god you believe, I do believe, and believe in Goddess as well. However we believe in Karma, Be Good, Do Good - or else believing any god or following any religion will not save you, neither you'll be punished for not believing or not following some type faith.

I believe in God, but am not comfortable with practices that are required to please the God. I connect with God more as a friend rather than its disciple. I do not like stringent way to connect through God. As far as priority is concerned, I guess God has sent us to live life and since we are living in world, we cant avoid worldly things. He did his job and we need to do our job. He would too expect us to fulfill our priorities before going to him because thats what our job is.

I believe a superior life force exists. Is it God? Maybe. Is it Mother Nature? Possibly. Simply saying mankind on Earth is the only species aside from animals is a tough pill to swallow. I grew up in the church both catholic and Christian. I understand the rituals and traditions passed down from generation to generation, and what I dislike most is man's interpretation of what is right or wrong. I lived under the pressure of living a Christian life and felt supressed of my natural self, causing me to implode. My faith began to wane because the establishment of religion suprseded my faith, ultimately causing me to question is what I believe even real. So, what is my priority in life? Well, being true to oneself with faith in those things which are good by promoting good. To that end, I believe that is the fundamental basis of what God would want.

I do believe that He's there. My priority is to do what is right and good, but not necessarily attending religious practices (like going to church).
