1992 was only an hour or so old, and I was driving, in a whopper of a snow storm, from Downtown Denver to my buddy's townhouse.
I was listening to a commercial radio station out of Fort Collins, a station that, with their format, could've easily been a college station.
It was during that New Year's drive that I first heard Seal's "Crazy," and I dug it so much that I bought the CD, his 1991 self-titled debut.
Seal is a multiple Grammy winner with a string of hit songs. Produced by Trevor Horn (ABC, Frankie Goes to Hollywood,) "Crazy" was an international smash hit: #1 in countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium, and Top 10 (#7) on the Billboard Hot 100.
To this day, as much as I like his other stuff, "Crazy" remains my favorite Seal tune, and he's really going to have to blow me away to change that.
