Free way is good because it really save a lot of money. However, anything free will be very slow and rank low in Google search engine. I still remember once I wrote an article to get referrals by using a former yahoo article site. After three years, that article end up appeared in the first page of the Google search engine under certain keywords. I got a lots and lots of traffic from it and was quite success at that time. But after that yahoo site is gone, it is hard to find a free way to boost my ranking like that again.
