I finally had the chance to finish up with the lawn. I mowed mine and both of my neighbor's lawns. I didn't do all this in one day. I did it across a four day period.
It can get tiresome to cut grass. If you haven't done this all winter long and all of a sudden the warm weather hits the lawn becomes more of a dense forest or swamp.
Also, the mosquitosphere is dense today. I have seen all kinds of bugs, from the ones that lie just below the dirt in the garden, to the flying ones. Nature doesn't have a problem with global frying, I mean warming.

I would have to research that and get back with you later on it.
I'm back with a link for you to look at: It is very on point and scary actually.
Eight Reasons Why Spraying Pesticides is Not the Solution to West Nile Virus by Rebecca Watson UPdate Spring 2003 How much of a risk is West Nile Virus (WNV)? To some extent, only time will tell. But public health experts stress that there is no cause

@Hatley I read it and it is scary to read and makes me wonder why they do this in spite of all the negative effects of the chemicals on the insects and people who have low immune responses.

@lookatdesktop I keep trying to convince the missus that we should raise goats, especially with the rising price of goat meat due to the growing Hispanic community around here. So far, she won't go for it.

@lookatdesktop I've actually done the ear buds under the ear protectors thing. It helped the time go by much more quickly. Now with my hip I can only do so much before she makes me stop and she takes over.

One pays me a little sometimes, the other don't pay me. He is retired and alone. He is also kind of old. He cuts his lawn when he feels well but often he seems to stay indoors a lot. He only gets out to go to church on Sundays and shop at the store. Both my neighbors are relatives.

@jstory07 As long as my health and lawnmower stay tip top. I'm okay.

Mozzies need water. You have much stagnant water about?

No one of my neighbor's does though and one of the reasons I like to mow both sides of us, is to make darn sure there is no stagnant water about at least on either side of our house and get in some good exercise. We do live a few blocks from a creek and it is always full. so the mosquitoes can migrate. I think a neighbor somewhere near us has a few bird baths and keeps water out for her dog. It's hard to tell. I know that leaving old tires about will catch rainfall and breed the nasty critters.
