I went to a dentist for decades. Dr. Peck was a very good dentist. He had a building that was almost downtown.
He retired a few months after I retired from the State. He was more my mother's age, however, but being self employed... well...
When he retired, the dentist that shared his building, took over both his practice and the building.
Now, I'd gotten to know the receptionist by visiting with her when I went to see Dr. Peck, so it wasn't like I was walking into something I didn't know anything about.
Dr. S is younger, he as dental hygienists, he's got computers, he's a modern operation, where Dr. Peck's assistant had only the last decade gotten an electric typewriter that someone given her.
Before, when I was seeing Dr. Peck, I would be sad that I couldn't refer people to him. Now, however, I'm always referring people to Dr. S.
I've got the roomie going to him - if she had been going to him for years, she might have more of her teeth.
I referred my guy friend, J, to him when he was having problems with his tooth.
I even referred the roomie's nephew to him when he was having a bad problem with his teeth. He might not have liked to drive into Austin like that, but those dentist in those big "clinics" are in it for the money and recommend all kinds of stuff that you really don't need for good dental health.
I've recommended other people to my GP, some have gone there too.
Do you feel that your doctors are good enough to refer people to them?

No absolutely not. Unfortunately the doc I have is pretty useless, but that is what I can get with my insurance, no choices here. I am glad your doc is so reputable.
