The next day after the car accident, I went on to college. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I took the shuttle bus down because I had classes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In fact, I only had one class on T/Th which was why I was driving in the first place.
I went to my first class, Government. Now, there was this little Hispanic guy who was kind of a tough acting guy, tight white tee-shirts, cigarette pack rolled up in his sleeve. He was hanging out waiting for class with some of his buddies. He saw me, by this time my eye was swelling and coloring up nicely. He came over to me. "Who beat you up, I kill him for you," he offered.
Honestly, that was about the nicest thing I had ever been offered, however, I had to turn him down. "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I took care of it already," I told him.

Ha! Even tho that is not allowed to kill, it was very generous of him.
And probably was handsome to boot lolz
I remember once when I was working in a chicken plant there in Arkansas, the place was full of Hispanics working alongside us legal or not.
When I had to step off the line, the floor was always halfway up your boot in water.
I remember one day this Hispanic guy took my hand and put his boot down in the water for me to step on instead of me having to walk in the water..I will never forget that kind gesture.
I felt like a princess covered in chicken guts lolz
