Fighting sleep

My little guy is fighting sleep hard. We are sleep training him which isn't the first time that I've done this with a child of mine. So he isn't happy that mommy isn't nursing him or holding him to he falls a sleep. He is slowly losing the fight I can hear it in his cries. I'm going to go soon to check in on him and calm him down if he doesn't give in first. I knwo with time he will see it's not that bad because mommy will come back. He is starting to learn when I tell him to say night night to daddy that means he is going to lay down and he makes his stink face. Which is my favorite face he makes I can't help but laugh at that angry little face although I don't laugh at it out loud. He keeps getting really quite and I think he is a sleep and then I hear him cry for a minute or two and then get quite all over again. I know it's hard little guy but it gets easy with him. Mommy's heart breaks but your big enough now where mommy doesn't to help you go to sleep every night.
