Facebook malware removal annoying!!

I log-in to facebook then a window prompted me that my facebook might have been compromised and I was asked to download the ESET online scanner..ang until now I can't use my facebook still downloading...grrr

Check your browser's extensions. I doubt there will be ESET online scanner added in the list.

@twentysix76 Do you see any additional extension which shouldn't be there ? Remove it. One more think ... Check your add/ remove programs tab as well.

Whoahhhh! I think facebook will not give you a prompt to download anything..

@twentysix76 Try uninstalling FB and then reinstall it. It might work.

are you using the app or the browser? if youre using the app, uninstall and install. if youre using a browser, try a different browser. if its still a no go, try cleaning your pc. scan, clean and defrag if necessary..

I'm using a browser.. cleaned the pc using cc cleaner restarted it and I was able to log in to fb. Hope I do not encounter the same problem again. Thanks
