What do you do with your old clothes?

Do you sell them? Donate them? (If so where do you donate them to?) How often do you donate clothes? I cycle through tons of clothes it seems, maybe because I find them second hand for good deals at thrift stores. I used to consign them when I bought brand names, but since, I have donated them to homeless shelters around my city. Some of these "non profits" that collect clthes are not so non profit.... How about you?

I forward my daughter's clothes to the needy people who have kids of her age and dont have much to wear. And our clothes - mine and my husband, we give them to our Helps. They love it.

I donate them at the end of the year because I clean my closet before the new year starts. Fo clothes that are still wearable, I donate them or give them to relatives or siblings. For those that are not, I turn them into rugs and use them in cleaning the house rather than buy rugs at the store.

Awesome, that is very green of you to reuse them in that fashion. I will sometimes give old tshirts to my dad who will bring them to work at his mechanic shop and use them as oil rags. Do you find that you have a million bags to donate by the end of the year?!

I mainly donate them unless they are in such bad shape that they aren't worth donating.

Sometimes I give them away, sometimes I give them to charity, if they look good, I will sell them to thrift stores. I also use some of them as pillow cases. The one that looks ugly, like t-shirts with holes ends up as wiping rags.

Very nice! I used to sell mine at consigbment stores which are basically high end thrift stores but they are very picky and seem to only take super high end brands.

Yearly, the family donates unused clothes at home. It is better to give during Christmas season.

There's a bin for some outfit that I have placed old clothes in. I haven't done so in years as I have none to donate.

I do donate most of my winter clothes,we have non-profit organizations come every 3-4 months,we also have containers in most corners where you can donate. My summer clothes which l no longer need or want,l do take with me when l vacation in Africa, people there have very little so they really appreciate it.
