Some cities are so very satuarated with pollution that E-Vehicles are the only way out from choking the citizens. Delhi is one of them. Recently on a trial run, vehicles with odd number plates were allowed to run on odd dates and vehicles with even numbers on even dates. E-Vehicles could help in resolving this to a very great extent.
Western Developed Countries, having high levels of pollution should also think on these lines which can in turn reduce, not only the cities polution levels but also globing warming.

I am for EVs from the time I was in school. I dont own any vehicles nor does my family. But I think the EV market has been systemically kept under check, not allowed to grow. There are number of reasons for it. The technology was available with us since early 1950's, still we only hear about prototypes in EV and solar vehicles. There is no considerable growth of any EV in any part of the world, except TESLA for now. The Ford EV was systematically killed. The petrol and diesel vehicle manufacturing lobby is so strong that they can afford to kill EV market.
I would like to know ur views.

Yes, more charging stations will be needed just as you have fuel stations where the vehicles can be recahrged.
