Do you online shop ?Are there instances that you've ordered something and when you receive the item, It's not what you really expect and what it is shown on tv or internet..I got a friend who bought a cheap tablet for his niece, when it is shown on the internet it's cute and affordable but when she receive the package her expectation wasn't met.

That ssems to happen a lot, that is why I usually read the reviews first and then make a decision. I am a real stickler for anything electronic so it has to meet certain standards before I even consider it. Receiving a bum product has never happened to me (knock on wood) but I have heard the horror stories.

Sometimes the reviews are confusing there are those who praises the product and there are those who are disappointed, sometimes you can't tell.

When it comes to gadgets I prefer to meet up as its better to be safe than sorry. Sorry about your friend. Buying online could be quite scary.

I tried buying gadgets online but I'm still using my cellphone. But I also believe what you've said It's better safe than sorry so no more online orders for me.

@twentysix76 I was scammed once so now I only buy from online sellers that are here in my city. This way we could meet up in person. Much safer.

I rather see the product personally. We need to get our money's worth. We worked hard for it

This is the greatest terror of online shopping. Getting something which looks totally different of what you saw on TV or on the online portal. I still prefer buying things, specially ones which are expensive from a store, after having examined the product I am paying for.

I shop online at work but not for personal. I had no horror experience so far. We should buy from trusted sites only.

What was wrong with it? I agree online shopping can be disasterous especially from eBay and places with off brands. I recently bought a $55 matress covrer off Amazon and it is definitely not as fluffy as I thought it would be. Clothes and books seem OK to buy onljne though. Buyer beware!

Sometimes buying online is so deceiving in terms of availing's products. It is also like choosing food in a menu from a restaurant. It looks so inviting to eat, but it appears totally different when serve on the table.

I don't do online shopping. I prefer buying them from a real store. Better to be safe.
