I was reading an article the other day

As I do sometimes. Anyway, it was about ancestors and it was also about "communicating" with them through dream sequence. Now I know everyone has their own beliefs on these types of things. Can it really be done? Is it really your ancestors or just your subconscious telling you what it thinks you want to hear? etc etc. I say that truly it doesn't matter either way. Atleast it doesn't matter as long as it's not a harmful thing that your dream sequence has conjured. The article talked about ways you can ask your ancestors things, it also talked about the author's own experience with it. I've thought to do this myself as I have been able to lucid dream before, and I don't think it could hurt to ask. What would I ask? Just for help on finding ancestral roots, finding out more about their lives etc. History intrigues me but nothing intrigues me more than ancestral history.

I never had any dreams talking to my ancestors. maybe because there's nothing sort of an importance out there.

I'm oddly indifferent to my ancestors and almost totally lacking in curiosity about them.

I never did that. But my grandmother did speak to me in a dream once. She was telling my mother and her boyfriend were meant to be and that everything will okay. I dreamed it after I threw my mother and her boyfriend out of the house. That was many years ago. Everything was ok. She did break up with him too.
