When You Are Complimented

Many people say they are not comfortable when given a compliment for some reason. They either feel the other person is not being genuine or they feel they are trying to get something from you. Plus, you don't have to necessarily be feeling great to say something nice to someone. When was the last time you received some sort of compliment on anything and on what?

I got one today Vjval. I dont take them very well for some reason or another, but at the same time, I welcomed it. I also try to give one back too. I often see strangers and say their hair is nice, their dress is nice or something to make someone smile.

It took me a long time to learn how to say thank you when complimented. It does not bother me anymore if the compliment is true or not.

My mother always taught me to say thank you, no matter who gives me a compliment.

I can't remember exactly when I got a compliment last. (being how bad my memory is). But when I get a compliment I guess I just don't believe it because I have such low self esteem about myself.
