Tower Reflection

Tower reflection

It's a bit of a quandary, I like being able to make a phone call anytime and just about anywhere. On the negative side, I am not over keen on the skeletal towers that are everywhere you look, but so necessary for near instant communication. I do like the idea of disguising them as trees, so they blend into the landscape. Can't say that I have ever seen on of these... but then I probably wouldn't know. Smaller versions of these towers are springing up on churches and the like, since the phone companies pay rent, it is an additional source of income for the building owner and they are not so obvious. I do wonder how much longer we will have copper wires to our homes for the old fashioned phones.

That is a very cool artistic photo though Ron. I like it as it is the reflection and not the actual tower.

I do believe that landline phones will become a thing of the past very soon. We do need the towers for instant communication on our cell phones so I suppose we will be seeing more and more of them.

They have phone masts all over the place in the UK disguised as everything. I think they look ugly stuck on a hills side.

@Ronrybs They are disguised on church roofs and trees. It is a tribute to the designers of these things that they cannot be spotted. That is the whole idea. They used to have those ugly things stuck on hills , cannot complain as I like to use my mobile when out and about.

@suzzy3 Same here, shouldn't complain about the masts and then complain about no signal

I'm always fascinated by lines of phone poles and electricity pylons

It is so normal to see to pylons and have a line to every home , I suppose they must have looked ugly and terrible once. Until everyone used a landline. Just one of those things you had to put with if you wanted to stay in touch.

Blending the towers into trees is a great idea.
