They turned out perfectly. I made a small batch because I know that I will be the only one eating them! The fact that I will have the entire cookie jar to myself is fine with me. When I first began to make them, I looked up to see what I could find about the strange cookie! It is thought that they are German in origin and the name is a corruption of the German word... meaning snail dumplings lol. At first I thought that it said snail droppings and almost did it for me, but its the rounded shape that they were referring to thank goodness.
Is there anyone out there who hasn't had them??

Snickerdoodles were the only thing my father ever baked! His specialty so to speak.

I do love most cookies but it's the unusual flavor that makes this cookie a winner!!
