So some of you may remember that I posted a few days ago that the car dealership called me about getting a new car, unsolicited mind you. Well, I kind of blew it off because I was pretty sure I didn't qualify for anything.
I had forgotten about it and had decided to be content with what I had. This morning the salesman calls me again. Come in we can definitely sell you a new car. Since I have had some mechanical difficulties with my current car, I decided to at least go and see what they can come up with. After a few hours at the dealership, he told me I could go home and they would let me know tomorrow.
That doesn't sound so positive to me. Maybe it will work out. Who knows? I wish I hadn't already told everybody at work I was getting a new car. Having sucky credit sucks. Lol! I will let ya know if it works out...

Be careful. Sometimes they can get you a loan, but at high interest rates. That happened to me. We just paid off one of our vehicles. It will be 2 years before the other will be paid off. Hubby hopes to double up on the payments so we can get out from under that one sooner.

Yes, that's right. I don't qualify for the lower interest rates. However, there is a rebate available so that will keep me from having to put any money down. If it works out, okay but if it doesn't I still have a vehicle to drive, so that is something to be thankful for.

The old, "Come on in and we will fix you right up with a new car," trick. Ninety percent of selling a car is getting you into the dealership. Here's something to think about: fixing up your old car may cost you a chunk of money but buying a new car will cost you a chunk of money every month for the next 72 months or so. Do you really want to make that commitment?
