Sometimes you only have a few minutes and you need your phone to charge as much as you can for the busy day ahead. The Secret to fully charging your phone in under 20 minutes in the amps, you would notice your phone battery would have something like 1900mah. What that means is miilamps per hour, now you cell phone charger would normally have an out put of 5v and the amps would range between 1-6 amps (per hour). The secret it to use a charger with higher amps, so you would aim for a 6amp 5v charger, you shount not use a higher voltage charger. 1 amp is 1000 milliamps, a 6amp charger would charge a 1900mah phone battery would charge in under 20 minutes. I would not use a charge higher than 6 amps to charge a cell phone battery.

It's not so much a matter of the amps (per hour) as the fact that most people don't realise that the apps and other things running in the background seriously affect the phone's ability to charge quickly. Undoubtedly the fastest way to charge a phone is to switch it OFF - that is, to shut it down completely. If you can't do this (perhaps because you want the alarm to work or because you want to receive calls), then at least turn OFF Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth and any other background programs you don't need. Most phones have a 'Flight Mode' and some have an 'Ultra Power Saving' mode. At the very least, use these to make sure that your phone is using as little power as possible whilst it's charging!
