The Birth of Big Air

ESPN's 30 for 30 series, in which different director's make their own documentary, has made for some great sports television since the channel debuted the films. Directed by Jeff Tremaine, The Birth of Big Air is the story of BMX legend Mat Hoffman and his quest to go bigger and higher than everyone else. Hoffman's story is told through interviews with both family and BMX rivals. In the meantime, there is BMX footage galore. If you follow the fringe sports, as I do, The Birth of Big Air should be on your list.

I love watching skate boarders always amazes me how they seem to fly. Good network to let people make films of their own documentary.

I dont follow it Scott, but I do remember the first time I had watched heard of BMX biking.
