Mylot pet peeve time. Why do people think its OK to post a response that says "I dont know" (and thats it) to a discussion? If a person has absolutely nothing to contribute why not just move on to a different discussion? How helpful is it to the discussion starter to give them this response - and also how helpful is it to your earnings to only write those 3 little words? I have seen this a lot of times and it mostly gets on my nerves. Am I taking this a little too seriously or what? Do you notice this as well? (Please do not say "I dont know!!")

I can certainly agree with you. It makes no sense why someone would just write "I don't know". It's one thing to say that and elaborate, but it's another to just say "I don't know". It's kind of lazy.

When you offer people money for participating, some people feel inclined to participate without making any actual contribution. Unfortunately that is something that consistently comes up on these types of sites. Many people want something for nothing.

I love reviewing movies, speculate what will happen next on my favorite TV shows and I also love talking about videogames but I dont make topics about them on Mylot for that reason. I am getting comments from people who are not interested. They just give pity likes and say, I am sorry, I am not interested and other Debbie Downer quality comments.

I had seen some responded like that. I also think it doesn't show any concern in reading a certain post.

@maezee,Right.If you are going to respond to a discussion, first try to understand it properly.Respond to it only when you know what you have to write. If the initiator of the discussion has asked a question, you need to know its answer. If you don't know the answer, leave the discussion and move on.

If they can give a fresh perspective, that is not too bad. Sometimes problems can be solved by re-thinking the situation, even to the point of reviewing whether there is indeed a problem or not.

I do not respond to the majority of posts for that very reason. If I am not interested or can't relate, I move on to one I can.
