This building is on the property of a park in our town, it was built in 1869.
I think it is so neat to have an old building like this and leave it as it is.
It is next to the river and has a lot of acerage, some people even go fishing here.
For a small town we have 6 good sized parks some even have playgrounds for the children to play at.

I love old buildings like this. My son went to a private school with an original schoolhouse that was moved to his school's grounds. It was built in 1662! It only held six students. The boys had to keep the fireplace going during the winter for a class.

Hey that is in better shape than the last place I lived an old moldy cottage lolz
Was so glad to get out of there and into this place now.
But yeah, I love old buildings, historic places like that one Marcy.
I loved little toy houses when I was little too.

They certainly are so the children can see where people used to live.

Wow after all these years, they were able to at least preserve this kind of house, so small back then.

Yep it is so old and has been preserved, wonder why they made them so small back then.

That is a thought they couldn't afford anything larger.

How cool is that!! Wouldn't you just love to know the history... or maybe you already do! If walls could only talk!!

I don't think you can find anything nowadays that will last as long, it is beautiful and I love taking pictures of log houses like this one.

These older buildings are amazing and stand so much longer than these new ones.

@Marcyaz I see one every so often and wonder about the age of it and the person(s) who built it. With all our safety regulations these days prohibiting us from building, this little gem and others like it triumph!

That just goes to show you @Marcyaz how good the people were at building back in the day. Today, you can have a $125,000 house built from scratch and sometimes it's not worth the screws and bolts it's made with.
