I dream the weirdest things.

This is, ofcourse, nothing new. You will have to forgive my speediness. I have a few minutes to get ready before I have to fly out of the door for work.
Last night I dreamed that I was at some sort of a theatre with a friend and her fiance. We were watching the screening of a live play that was being conducted there. I didn't see much of the play for the audience was somewhat rowdy, especially those few around me.
I ended up having to sit a few feet away from friends, sandwiched in between several guys, one of which had his two children with him. They were being very lewd toward me and I felt very uncomfortable sitting there. The seating was audiotorium style except that the chairs mounted to the floor seemed to be angled weirdly.
I hardly recognized when the production was over as I had somehow gotten them to leave me alone and I fell asleep. My friends were nowhere to be found and I had lost my phone along with my purse. By this time it was around 3 am and the theater was pitch black but for a few lights here and there. Everyone seemed to still be milling about and I had to find some very nasty spirited workers to help me locate the lost and found. I did finally find the lost and found, and luckily, my purse and phone intact.
I tried calling the friends several times but to no avail. When I did get ahold of them it was some 30 minutes later. They said they had texted me but for some reason, in my hysteria, I did not notice the texts coming in.
This is when I woke up. What a weird dream!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, if the play had been Julius Caeser by William Skakespeare then you would have had more reason to be concerned.

Do you have ticket stubs in your purse? Did you order a drink at the theatre? Next time you wake up, search your purse.

@gofsey I have read somewhere that you always dream but may not always remember it. I used to study dreams in more depth.

@ScribbledAdNauseum no but now I can picture you clearer. Nice meeting you, and your weird dream. I stopped having dreams quite some time back.
They say that dreams indicate a way to wealth and health. That is why I became curious.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I like to think of dreams as the awakening of consciousness. Like when we sleep, we forfeit our will.

I often dream weird things when I wake abruptly and fall back asleep. The dreams tend to leave me with an odd feeling for the rest of the day. Sometimes they are of people I know, sometimes complete strangers.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Now you are making me think about the people in some of my dreams. If that is true perhaps they are people that we have briefly encountered at some point in time.

@ElusiveButterfly even just a small glance. A bit off the subject but sometimes in my dream one person will be represented by another. For example, when I would dream about my ex the person in my mind was my cousin physically but I was calling him by my exes name.

I read somewhere that people that we think are strangers in a dream we have actually seen before. I don't know how true that is but I guess it would have to be somewhat true. Yes I woke up for a few minutes and then went back to sleep.

Oh yes I was definitely glad when I woke up. Of course the end of the dream was more pleasant but the part with the guys and how rowdy and lewd they were! That was awful!

Wow, that's wild! I have weird dreams, too, but mine generally end with me going around and around in circles trying to find my car or a friend or something and I never find what I'm looking for! It's so frustrating!

I have a recurring dream where myself my sister and my brother are trying to find my grandmothers house. It is a very stressful dream minutes one that I have had since I was probably seven years old. I think it symbolizes indecisiveness and stress as well as something that sort of out of your control/hands in real life.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Wow! I never met anyone before you who'd had a recurring dream for so long. I used to have a recurring dream but it stopped. These days I'm lucky if I get a good night's sleep so I miss the interesting dreams.

That's really strange because I had a similar dream only I was with my granddaughter and we walked into the dark theater. I kept thinking there would be an intermission where they would turn up the lights so I could find where my daughter was sitting. LOL

It never seem to be light in the theater. The light that was there was in the main lobby/hallway. Kind of scary isn't it? Did you ever find her?

That definitely is about a weird as they get. There has to be a message in there somewhere. It was like your subconscious was trying to tell you something??
