Chicken Soup Macaroni

A classic comfort food universal across many cultures. Chicken soup is easy to prepare, healthy and super tasty. Most important of all, it reminds us of mom and her cooking when we were little.
My mom prepares this a lot for us when we were kids. The one in the picture I had outside and nothing can beat mom's version.
Her chicken soup macaroni is generously laced with slices of chicken, egg, handmade meat balls and seafood balls. The bowl is topped off with fried shallots, diced scallions and crisp anchovies.
I miss it.

@Ladypeace i agree with @akopinay that chicken macaroni soup is everyday fare here, more so when it's raining, but like her, i'm not fond of it. i prefer macaroni as baked mac or macaroni salad.

Yes! I think it is more common in the Philippines to have this dish than Singapore. Aw, it isn't your favorite.

Looks totally delicious! I had chicken soup today from a restaurant but I did not take a picture. Your moms soup sounds delicious, I'd have homemade over the restaurant any day. Although the one in the picture is from outside - what's it topped with? The white is chicken right?

It's pulled chicken pieces. In Singapore we can find this dish at some chicken rice hawker stalls. I love it because they give us some of that chicken rice chili to go along.

This is my daily breakfast at the dorm and I love it! I eat plenty of them, probably 3 bowls of the soup.

If you want the kind of macaroni that your mum has made, you have to prepare to pay triple price!
Your mum is not making to sell those, else she will add lesser ingredients, and more macaroni.
I just had a bowl not long ago.
It was the Vietnamese version which is tasty with a lot of sprout beans.

Your mom's version sounds delicious, it has a very Asian flare to it like Chinese influence.lots of yummy ingredients

Yeah, it's easy for Asians to relate to my mom's version. It's also fun because every individual household has their own recipe for this dish.
