What version did you like best of TheSims?

I have played every version from the original The Sims to TheSims4 Limited Edition.
I kind of think I liked The Sims3 Ambitions. I liked it because my Sim could get around the entire city on a bike or drive in a car or walk. There were no teleportations with TheSims3. The Seamless attribute of TheSims3 is limited in the later version, TheSims4 in that only small neighborhoods allow navigation and thus the Sim often runs into invisible walls and can't go past them. This might be rectified by adding more expansion packs to enable seamless travel within cities along with the fact that your computer will need more memory and ram to perform the task of a larger world in which the Sims can move about without using teleportation as their main method of travel.
TheSims4 is better in other areas, like the ability to build basements.
This allows you to build up and down. There are issues I have with the fact my Sim can't ride a bike or drive a car and I miss the pool table, the trampoline and dart board and basket ball game. It seems they have removed lots of the things a Sim could do in TheSims3 with TheSims4. But maybe in time they will be able to add more features to the game. It is a work in progress I think. The resolution is better but there are angles of view that are limited in TheSims4. With TheSims3 you could look up at the ceiling to place ceiling tiles and look upward to the sky to get a better view. It is a wonder The Sims4 launched so soon because of the fact they seemed to have removed many of the good features of it's previous version TheSims3. This is only my opinion. I still enjoy playing TheSims4.
The added ability of Get To Work, an expansion for TheSims4, is after a Sim gets teleported to the work place, he or she can move about the work area and interact with working Sims and this is actually a good thing. With households that have 2 or more Sims living under one roof, when one Sim is at work the other Sims remain in a suspended state so their lives and their needs are not degraded while the focus on the working Sim is being played out during an average Sim Day. but when that Sim returns home the life clocks begin ticking away on all the Sims of that household, even if you only focus on one Sim and let the other Sims go about their business on their own motivations.

I played the first original Sims when it first came out. I have not played any other newer versions.

@LeaPea2417 The bad news was I had to buy a new computer to be able to play that game. Older computers I have owned that played earlier versions of The Sims games worked okay but the last two, versions 3 and 4, required more of everything and a more advanced video adapter so I am lucky that when I crashed my last computer I was able to save up for a newer one that had all the bells and whistles.

The primary version of TheSims was so banal it almost made me want to never play it again. It has gone so far advanced in the next 3 successions along with expansion packs. Also, Maxis is together with Electronic Arts and Origin to provide the latest advances in role playing simulation games. The graphics of version 2, 3 and 4 are outstanding and getting better every version.

I'm a newcomer to the Sims. Actually the tale end of Sims 3 and then picked up Sims 4 but there are things that I like about the both. In Sims 3, I love how far you can travel and how large the areas are. With Sim4... I love the scrolling camera feature the best... I wish that they would add that feature to Sims 3. I love to be able to drag the screen to find what I'm looking for. I wonder what they have planned for Sims 5?

So far they have a way to go before they go the full 9 yards with TheSims4. I think it will be several years. But I hope if there is a TheSims5, they can travel around the world or go out into space and travel to Mars and Venus and other planets. That would be so funtastic.

@lookatdesktop that would be fun. I only wish that I had discovered the game years ago. Oddly enough I found out about it from a very distant cousin. The joys of climbing your family tree. She was raving about how excited she was about the release of Sims 4, so of course I had to take a look. :) Definitely a nice pass time!
