What keeps you regular?

Ha. Just the question it sounds like. I have a friend who has a serious problem in this category. She recently went to the ER because she was having extreme cramps and hadnt gone to the bathroom in 3 weeks! She showed me the XRAY they did of her and it showwd the splotches of junk in her body. They gave her a liquid prescription that will hopefully work otherwise they are going up in her to "take it out". I never have had this problem. Coffee is how I keep regular. Hope this is not TMI but a few cups seems to do the trick. What keeps you regular? A certain food, drink, routine or do you keep up with a fiber plan? Do tell! Lets enjoy this discussion about our bosy functions! No need to be shy...we all do it! Lol

For me it is moving around and exercise to keep regular. Just a day at work provides enough of that! LOL

Coffee does it every time. If I had her problem I would have been throwing up. 3 weeks sounds outrageous.

I guess plenty of water per day does help. I don't have such problem, unless when I am pregnant. Perhaps I usually eat more veggies as well. When I am pregnant, I need to eat more fruits.

I have a tendency to constipation, specially when I eat too much cheese (I love it). If it does not work with a walk, I cook corn kernels and make a tomato and corn salad. That does it.
