India dramatically won yesterday against Australia by 6 wickets and 5 balls to spare. There was a time when team India needed 59 off last 30 balls and the way Kohli took off from there was a delight to watch. With this win India confirmed their place in the semifinal against dangerous West Indies side. West Indies is one team against whom no matter how much strategies you plan, their sheer power can override anything. The team that believes mainly in hitting sixes could be devastating if Gayle bats for first 10-12 overs in his flow. Another semi is of two unexpected sides, when the tournament begun, and that is New Zealand Vs England. It would be interesting to see who goes to the finals.

I only saw the very end of the match, starting from when India needed 44 off 20 balls. At that stage I was sure Australia would win, but things changed really quickly. What an amazing performance by Kohli.

Yes, exactly from the point when India needed 44 off 20 balls, Kohli took off and switched to 5th gear. I guess he scored 35 off those 44 himself.

@avi256 Good luck for the rest of the tournament. I wish my team had reached the semi-final, but their performance has been really disappointing.

We have lot of match winners, but most of them have not fired yet. Its high time Sharma, Dhawan and Raina come to the party too, because the day we need to chase 200 score, we cant rely on just one batsman.

Yes I remember India found it tough to beat West Indies in the World Cup 2015. Kohli and Dhoni played a vital role in that win. And if Chris Gayle is on song, the other team stands no chance.

Its very much the Gayle factor that can negate anything. He had just hit a century at Wankhede against England. But in last few years, India has been able to get him out early.

I also appritiate yuvraj singh in this match due to injured , he still played and try to perform well, on the other hand all match was covered by kohli.
