Will You Admire a "Fake" Beauty?

Some people achieve "good looks" through their money. They go to doctors who "reconstruct" their noses making it high-bridged, long eyelashes, high cheek bones, full lips, or change the color of their skin. They do it to achieve self-confidence or be happier. Do you admire their artificial beauty?

It depends. If they look really good after the enhancement, then I will admire them but if not, I would say they are wasting their time and money. If ever I'll be rich, I swear I won't do that.

They have that freedom of choice to get good looks through beauty enhancement, and like you, I will not resort to such process.

because in some professions/industry there is extreme and constant pressure to have them done due to standards, expectations, etc. like a chicken and egg situation. if i read a news item that "exposed" someone to be "fake" i'd be curious and read it, then forget it. i would feel sorry for them if there were health or medical effects, but won't criticize or make fun of them.

Thanks,@hereandthere for your response. Yes, I don't blame them for such medical procedure, and like you, I just wonder if there could be some perils/side effects.

I can still appreciate artificial beauty but not directly to that person. I will admire the doctor who did it.

It's the artist not the art then? Very interesting indeed.

I see nothing wrong with modern science, if one doesn't take it too far.

I don't totally oppose those who like to do it if they want and can afford it, what I am afraid of is the side effect of chemicals or foreign body being used in the process.Yes, there should be boundaries. Thanks for the reply, @DianneN.

Admire? Not really. Admittedly, I would like to remove the wrinkles that storm my face as I age but plastic surgery, even if I had the money, is the result of a weak mind and vainity. Give me all natural anytime of the day.

Yes, natural beauty is the best! And be thankful for what looks you have than aspiring to be artificially beautiful.

At first but lately I've come to realize maybe they're not real people to me. People are so brainwash with being white and forgetting how important our selves are compare to other people who were born disfigured already. When you die I think you get to see your real self and you can' just do plastic surgeon your soul. though obsession of such beauty can corrupt what ever beauty inside .

Yes, I also think about it. I always like to look at the "real" person no matter how she/he looks like.

Artificial beauty is something that many people strive to get to these days... not only reconstructing but also applying all different types of creams and cosmetics also is artificial beauty... What people forget is reconstructing or plastic surgery as we know it is to change something that is wrong and not to make something right which was already right iin the first place but just a bit small or big!

I agree, reconstructive surgery is only for corrective measures as it is very much needed for the body to function well; not to reconstruct a face or any part of the body to make it beautiful.
