Corn King Bacon - what a good buy, not!

About 5 years ago a new bacon came to town grocers.
This was that yellow and green package labeled, "Corn King" and it was only about 2 bucks for a pack. Now, by this time it was nearly impossible to find a pound of bacon. Nope.
But I think this came in a 12 oz. pack too. I might be wrong. We stopped buying Corn King since they got greedy and hiked their prices from around 2 dollars a pack to about twice that price. But the bottom line is, do not buy it. It is all fat and renders out to the point it would take 2 packs of 12 oz. Corn King bacon to make just a few BLT sands. It's a no brainer. I don't buy it any more. I was desperate.
Would I recommend any other brand of bacon? Well, I like Blue Ribbon and Wright to name a few of the sliced slab bacons they sell at well known stores like Tom Thumb, Kroger and Walmart. But there is a store called Fiesta Mart on Loop 12 in Dallas that sells about the best store brand Fiesta brand bacon. It's good for the dollar and cooks up nice and crispy. You might try it sometime.

Oh, bacon in our country is very expensive. So I just buy sometimes but not always.
