My God, those 2 liters sell for just a buck so why buy a 20 oz. at the register?

Give me a freaking break already. I see the soda pop at the checkout stands and they are full of your favorites. All about 20 oz. each and they cost about 1.75 each, nice and ice cold, but what about the 2 liters they have back on aisle 12? You know? They regularly sell 2 liter soft drinks for under a dollar and sometimes 4 for 5 dollars at about 1.25 each. But man, when I get up to the register I am thirsty and I have the option to walk over to the Micky D's to buy a fountain drink for about the same with perpetual re-fills, but hey I 'm thirsty right now. I could pay go out to the car and pour some of my 2 liter Dr. Pepper in a glass with some ice I get free from Micky D's but then that would have to wait until I get through this line. There are 5 people ahead of me and I have a sugar and a thirst craving that just won't quit. I know what I will do. I will have one of these 2.00 20 oz. Pepsi colas. I need my cola fix ASAP! They have me figured out to a T. I am more than willing to fork out the cash for the immediate gratification and convenience. And they know this.

Stores have gone to a great deal of time and expense to determine the best way to part you from the most money for the least product, and those infernal drink coolers by the register are proof of that.

It sure is a sales tactic and there are many people who buy them at the cash register isle. I don't do it, but my sons do it a lot.

And I have to dig for a cold one because they place warm ones up front.

That is why they charge more near the cash register. They got you.

I am lucky in that I hate fizzy drinks!

I am beginning to hate them myself. I can't seem to get this weight off me.

@lookatdesktop Try what I do and fast 2 days a week.On those days just have about 500 calories worth spread between 2 meals, and water or unsugared drinks during the day. The rest of the time you can eat normally, though if you cut down on sugar and processed carbs you will lose fat sooner
