Don't Make Me Angry

Generally, I am known as a mild-mannered so, much the same as was the meek Dr. David Banner (Actor Bill Bixby) in one of my all-time favorite series, "The Incredible Hulk."
However, although it takes a lot to provoke my ire; once you've done it, watch out...I sometimes surprise co-workers who break out in laughter over hearing me (much out of character) give someone their due.
Everyone has their limits you know? What are yours?
So, if you intend to push my buttons, watch out! You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

Hi Patsie! Wasn't that a great program? They don't make 'em like that anymore! I am generally very slow to anger as well...

In what I call normal life, I use language loosely and swear sometimes. When I am angry I pronounce every word well, talk softly and ladylike but in such a way that the other person feels punished and ashamed

So, when you begin talking calmly, everyone should watch out! My dad was much the same way!

I remember that show, and that line, fondly. The students who moved from sixth grade to seventh grade last year, and got me as a teacher again, were quick to warn my new students that it took a lot to make me angry but they wouldn't like me when I was angry. So far this year they haven't seen me angry.

You wouldn't KNOW me when I'm REALLY angry. As a professor and child psychologist, I speak articulately (though I avoid big words) and fairly quietly, but if I get REALLY mad, I speak like someone who grew up on the South Side of Chicago (which I did).

I'm pretty much the same way. I was just thinking about two brothers. I work one place where one of these brothers was a supervisor. To get him pissed off you almost had to hit him over the head with something. Then I when to work at another company where the other brother worked as a supervisor. All one had to do to get him pissed off is look at him. It was funny. One was easy going and the other you had to watch every step you took around him.

I do have my limits. But I am more patient I believe.
