I accepted a joy ride with a friend and almost got myself killed.

Even a friend can be a danger to you when he decides to get behind the wheel and is stone cold sober. He had a blackout at the wheel, turned and pressed the gas pedal and ran straight into a telephone poll. The two of them up in the front seat hit their heads on the windshield. I hit my head on the back of the head rest. I climed out the right passenger window and there was a small crowd of onlookers. I thought Scott and Howard were killed. At that time I cried out, "Help us. Call 911!" They did nothing but kept on staring at us. I was angry and finally the two up in the front seat regained consciousness then got out of the car to realize that it had been totaled. Real story. Sometimes taking a joy ride with a friend can be almost deadly.

@miniam , Be glad that God has given you the chance to make things right and the choice to make things better for your future. No one really deserves to die. Not really.

I'm glad the only fatal casualty from the wreck was the car. Why did your friend blackout?

@lookatdesktop That's probably why he was able to walk away from the wreck, that he wouldn't have gotten in if he hadn't been drunk. Such irony.

Wow, hope they had a nice nap. Really, are they okay? Are you? You never know what is going to happen next. Why did the people looking not try to help you?

For one thing I failed to indicate that this took place years ago, and with that said, the people standing around, did not do a thing to get us any help. After they got back home the wrecker came. It was as if nobody cared. As far as the two up in the front of the car, they had minor head injuries. I was the one with the Tylenol headache for over a day from hitting my head against the head rest in front of me from the back seat of the right passenger side.
