Happy Birthday Vincent!

As related to my other post about World Bipolar Day it is also the wonderful Vincent van Gogh's 163rd birthday. It was believed for him to be bipolar. Even as a child I always felt like I related to his work. He explored a lot in Japanese art and just has a certain flare that I loved. Almond Blossom has to be one of my favorite paintings by him. It was created in 1890 and with this painting, I feel peaceful. It might be the color of blue or the fact that it feels like you could pick the petals right off the painting. It is so beautiful. Are you a person who loves art? Who is your favorite artist? it can be new or old.

If you ever visit Amsterdam, you have to see the Van Gogh Museum which has all his famous works. There is a section with his Japanese influenced works.

@DesirousDreamer Claude Monet is my favorite artist and I have been to his home and studio in Giverny.
