Mike Garafalo reported on his Twitter account on Wednesday the Cincinnati Bengals have signed former New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell to a contract.
The terms of the contract were not released by the Bengals today. LaFell was released by the Patriots on March 2, 2016.
LaFell did visit the Bengals two weeks ago to seek employment with the American Football Conference North Division Division champions.
Since the Bengals lost wide receivers Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu to free agency, the Bengals decided to give LaFell who had 37 receptions with the Patriots during the 2015 football season a chance to continue his career in the National Football League opposite Bengals top wide receiver A J Green.
Lafell has played six seasons in the National Football League with the Carolina Panthers from 2010-2013 and the New England Patriots after he was a third round draft choice of the Panthers in the 2010 National Football League Draft out of Louisiana State University.

You could be right since his production as a wide receiver in 2015 fell off.

New England got Ben Watson, big time upgrade. I think Bellicheck is going to run the double tight end set like he did when Aaron Hernandez was there.

The Patriots are likely to make some changes to their offensive style of play in 2016.
