My turn to present a feature now instead of attending those organized by others. I played the audio track MP3 from the podcast of my radio drama, Wendigo Water.
I was up against very popular events at peak time in the convention programme, so as I expected, attendance was low as was the audio volume but the listeners enjoyed the show and we had a fascinating question and answer session afterwards and discussed Wendigo demon literature and mythology in general.
Thanks to everyone who attended and to the Convention for letting me present the show. It was the last organized event I was involved with on the Saturday.
I carried on drinking with friends knowing two others and I were expecting a midnight taxi, but it arrived about 15-20 minutes early so we had to head off quickly.

I've never heard of Wendigo mythology before, not that I know a lot about mythology in general either. I did take an online class a few years ago where we researched writing myths and other similar tasks and then were asked to write one ourselves.

@MarshaMusselman The Wendigo is a flesh eating demon in Algonquin Native American/Canadian mythology - it turns on people who are driven to canibalism from a need to survive by making human meat the only food they crave - it was a taboo against canibalism even in extreme circumstances. It states that dying of starvation was preferable to turning into a Wendigo. My play deals with such a creature attacking shipwreck survivors on a lifeboat.
