The daily Groovy continues with something really Groovy that odds are you've never heard. Led by standup drummer/vocalist Landis Expandis, All Mighty Senator's is a Baltimore-based funk/dance/rock band with creative, often bizarre lyrics. They are also a fun, energetic live band, one of the more entertaining opening acts (for the Pretenders) I've ever seen. Nice guy's, too. We met them after their set, and they were all very outgoing and friendly, glad to chat with potential fans. "Kung Foo Masters" is from All Mighty Senator's 2003 album Music is Big Business. It's a blast: synthesized dance funk with some excellent rock guitar from underrated guitarist Warren Boes. Bonus: lyrics that pay homage to Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan. The link below will take you right to this fun tune.

I had not heard this one either Scott. Where have I been? Love the dance funk though.

They're kind of obscure, but a great live band.

I don't know this one but I was drifting out of contemporary music in 2003.

They're a pretty obscure band with a small but loyal cult following.
