Chris Matthews – MSNBC ego-maniac plays Stump the Trump!

I realize many of you will disagree with me and say Donald Trump deserved every bit of it, but I find Chris Matthews to be one of the most politically biased, ego-maniacal, big mouth bloviators on cable news today. I've written several posts on the absurdities, the craziness and the nastiness of the 2016 Presidential race and I think Chris Matthews should be included right up there with the worst of the worst. All the networks today are abuzz with the Trump/Matthews interview that occurred yesterday. For starters, although Trump was the presumed guest on Matthews’ show, Matthews, as usual, assumed both host and guest roles. He never shut up. He asked and answered and pontificated and badgered and smiled that sick smile and Trump barely got the chance to speak. Of course, when Trump did speak, it wasn’t good, so maybe it was for the best. Matthews appeared to be on a full-blown rampage, on a single-handed mission to stump the Trump and take him down. Matthews and his huge ego want to be the hero, the darling of cable news, the guy everyone is talking about today. Personally, I can’t imagine having to spend one day, even one hour, cooped up in the same room with Matthews and his yapping big mouth. I think I’d rather face a firing squad.

Chris Matthews is not a reporter or journalist. He is a liberal whose only interest is hating anyone who does not follow his thinking. This is the fool who felt a "tingle" in his leg when Obama was elected and gets angry when reminded of it. Liberals love to call the right "haters." Matthews is a classic example of liberal hypocrisy along with Whoopi Goldberg and others who are proven angry "haters."

I'm sorry but I'm getting a little bit tired of people constantly bringing up this out of context comment Chris made years ago! I don't know how many here actually HEARD him say it originally but he didn't say "tingle", he said "thrill". It wasn't when Obama was elected, it was when he gave his convention speech in 2004 and he's explained many times since, as he did the night he first said it, that he meant it because of Obama's obvious love of America and how he said, and I may be paraphrasing but I'm pretty close, "It's not the red states or the blue states, it's the UNITED States of America."

@anniepa I appreciate your comments. For me, he's repulsive, blatantly biased and only wants to hear what he and Hillary have to say.

I really hate all the hate. I agree with you re Matthews and the other haters. I especially dislike Matthews' total lack of professionalism to even attempt keeping his pathological biases under some control.

He sure got you talking about him, though. Was he the one who accused Trump of a 5 year old's tactics and then Trump responded with "I didn't start it"? I've spent a lot of time with 5 year olds and that's the sort of thing they say.

@LindaCPearson What an insult to the normal mature development of a typical five year old! I'd have to say Donald's behavior is more in line with a toddler who hasn't yet mastered the art of speaking properly.

He definitely did! I just had to vent!! No, it was Anderson Cooper, CNN, who said Trump was exhibiting 5 year-old behavior.

I did not mind him, could tolerate him, until you could clearly see the bias towards Hilary he has. Can't these people do their job first. Which is to present the facts from all angles. Let his viewers decide. Not to get his viewers to vote the way he is.I guess he is now going to claim he has an opinion show like Bill O'Reilly. That whole channel does that now. Morning Joe is in the tank for Trump and the rest of them are for Hilary. If not your show gets cancelled.

@LindaCPearson I am pretty sure Mika is not, but Joe definitely is. Even his fellow colleagues have called him out on it. Mika just enables Joe and pretty much never challenges Trump as he is on the show so much. She even lets Trump design the questions for her to ask.

@crossbones27 I think Joe was initially for Bush and "sort of" likes Kasich.

Morning Joe is my favorite news shows. At least they offer both sides and some sense of civility. Do you mean they're backing Trump? I know Joe is conservative but Mika definitely isn't.

In Chris's defense, stumping Trump is not hard to do, just ask him a question that requires thought. Other than that, I am 100% in agreement with you about Chris Matthews. Isn't he the "journalist" who thought meeting Obama was a sensual experience? P.S. I love the word "bloviators."

@LindaCPearson Were you watching on election night 2008? I was watching MSNBC and I missed any evidence of Chris being all excited.

Yes he got all excited when Obama won. Thank you for appreciating "bloviators." It is one of my absolutely favorite words and such a pleasure to use in just the right situation!

@anniepa I wasn't following politics that much back then and wouldn't have watched Matthews anyway.

@LindaCPearson Ok, I have to admit this thread has kinda gone all over the place...lol! When you say, "He really is a creep, such a relentless bully", are you talking about Donald or Chris?

I'll admit it, I'm definitely one of those who think Trump deserved it 100%! Chris did what a journalist is supposed to do, he asked some tough questions and wouldn't let that arrogant jerk get away with dodging them all like everyone else who "interviews" usually does. With all due respect, I find it hilarious that anyone would be discussing two people with one of them being Donald Trump and calling the other guy an "ego-maniac".
